Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Creativity Analysis?
A: Creativity Analysis is a reflective, research-led practice designed to help you explore and unblock your creative life. It’s not coaching or therapy but a slower, deeper inquiry grounded in psychoanalytic thought, philosophy, and the arts.
Q: How is this different from coaching or therapy?
A: Unlike coaching, which often focuses on goal-setting and productivity, or therapy, which addresses clinical mental health concerns, Creativity Analysis emphasises reflective listening and meaning-making. It explores the unconscious and deeper patterns behind creative blocks rather than quick fixes.
Q: Who is this for?
A: This practice is ideal for artists, creatives, academics, professionals and therapists seeking professional development who feel stuck, burned out, or disconnected from their creative spark. It’s for those who want serious reflection without clinical therapy. Creativity Analysis is a certified CPD provider.
Q: What can I expect from sessions?
A: Sessions are 55 minutes long, typically held every two weeks. You’ll have space to reflect, explore, and gain new insights supported by practical philosophy and psychological perspectives tailored to your experience.
Q: Are sessions confidential?
A: Yes, all sessions are confidential within the limits of professional ethical guidelines. Your privacy and safety are priorities.
Q: How do I book a session?
A: You can book a free 20-minute intro call via the booking page to discuss your needs and see if the practice is right for you before committing.
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less notice may still be charged.
Q: Is this suitable for people with severe mental health conditions?
A: Creativity Analysis is not a substitute for clinical therapy. If you are currently experiencing severe mental health issues, I encourage you to seek appropriate therapeutic support. I can provide referrals if needed.
Q: Are group sessions available?
A: Yes, group sessions offer a low-barrier way to engage with creative reflection alongside others and can be a stepping stone to 1:1 sessions.
Q: What insurance and qualifications do you have?
